Girls just wanna have fun!

T'was just the girls and myself a couple of days ago.  I had to pick Big D up a little early from school, she had another doctors appointment.  She just finished ten days of antibiotics only to go to the doctor and discover that it had absolutely no results.  She has a raging bladder infection.  Doctor F seems to think that she has an antibiotic resistant bug.  And if that were the case, that my dears would totally suck!  This little girl hardly ever gets sick but the past couple of months have been the complete and total opposite!  It seems as if she is constantly getting some sort of sickness that doctors can't figure out.  It's bizarre!

She has been dying to go to this new little bakery in town.  So off we went, just us girls!  After all, Girls just wanna have fun!  Right?!

The adorable little bakery certainly lived up to it's name.  Their cupcakes were absolutely "Delish"!

The girls hardly touched their cupcakes while we were there.  They were too entertained by the little table and all of it's little toys and puppets.  Big D certainly knows how to make ld laugh!  She had her rolling!

I'm glad that we got to spend good ole' quality time together.  I just wish the circumstances were different.

Pray for my little darling, please!  That is all.

Happy Saturday, Everyone!

Moving on

Soccer season ended last weekend.  I'm kind of sad, but it was starting to get waay to cold to be sitting on the sidelines at nine in the morning!  Although, I'm sure I would totally be up for some more sitting on the sidelines, if it were offered!.

Big D and Middle D's team was undefeated {with the exception of the one game they lost...but only by one point}.  Little d's team doesn't really keep score yet so, they were "undefeated", too!
Soccer is definitely  my favorite sport to watch {so far}.  It excites the kiddo's and helps them deal and cope with their competitive urges.  It has taught Big D and Middle D to work together and it has also helped them respect one another.  Good stuff, I tell you.  Big D moves up to a brand new field next season, leaving her brother behind.  I'm sad about that...so is she.

Little d feels and acts more like a big girl, and she has also started warming up to princesses and pink stuff.  I'm pretty sure it has to do with her friend R who was recently in a pageant, that little d got to watch.  Having a real life princess that plays soccer as her friend is kind of a big deal!

Soccer with three kids is pretty exhausting, but has so many more perks to it.  I absolutely love being a Soccer Mom!

Oh, and Big D will be trying out basketball for the first time in the next couple of weeks.  She is a bit nervous.  I am a bit EXCITED! =D

Happy Monday, Everyone!

Procrastinating

So, the school may or may not have sent out letters informing us that "story book character" day was in like "three weeks", three weeks ago.  And they may or may not have reminded me that "story book character" day was rapidly approaching like, oh I don't know, at least five times during the past three weeks.  Big D may or may not have reminded me the entire week before.  But like I said [may or may not].

The day before Story book character day {like twelve hours before}, I rushed and threw together a story book character that Big D approved of.  That girl is picky, but she was happy with  Fancy Nancy {goes to Paris, or something like that}.

It was quite simple.  I old school curled her hair and fixed it all frazzled just like Fancy Nancy.  She wore lots of jewelry, leggings, leg warmers {cut off tights}, and ruffly socks.  Oh, and a tutu.  We can't leave that one out. She totally rocked her, and won the contest in her class!...Too many Harry Potters, I guess.

Voila!

Grandma may or may not have asked for a "Christmas wish list" from the kiddos a couple of weeks ago.  And she may or may not have specifically asked for it by last Tuesday.

I got that fabulous list to her on Friday night.  Partly because I'm awesome and mostly because I am super awesome at procrastinating.

I love taking them "wishing".  They stroll through the isles with their note books and their pencils and serious faces {because they're very serious}, and they write everything down that slightly interests them.  Little d strolls through the isles looking and pointing and saying "Mommy, I wish I had that!"  Hence, the name of this little game that we play.  We usually only play it during the holidays and birthdays. It takes forever, and even a little longer now because Middle d likes to write every. single. word. on the front of the box of the item he "wishes" he had, down.   He don't want Santa screwing up his Christmas, you know?!

It's really neat how much they love it.  They walk in that store with a note book and a pencil, and they leave with the exact same thing.  But their little minds,  hearts, and notebooks are filled with wild and excited dreams waking up to toys galore on Christmas morning.  It's a win-win situation.

Little d's Christmas is gonna be super easy this year.  She wished for many things, but they were all like, a dollar!  She wants a soccer koosh ball and a cheap little piggy bank the most.  They're at the very top of her wish list. ( :

Oh, and because Big D rarely ever says anything cute and clueless anymore, I'll close with a little something that she said.

"Pssh!  Mommy, aren't you glad you don't live in Washington?!"

...Yep, Big D, I sure am!

...And I feel sorry for all of those people who live in Washington!  Geesh!

Happy Saturday, Everyone!

I'll take Stream of conscousness for 1,000, Alex

I have such a strong urge to start up cheery, happy, Christmas music and the jolly festivities that come with it!

I don't think I've ever been more excited about fall or winter or cold.  Maybe it's because I've came to terms with winter.  I know it's going to be grey, bitter, and cold and there's nothing I can do to change that fact.  I'm not gonna' Grinch it out this year.  I'm ready.  Ready to face the bitter cold.  I've got my hoodies all out and waiting.  Actually, I'm wearing one.  I just wanna stand on the front porch and yell "Bring it, Winter!"...but I would look like a loony toon, so I'll just imagine that I'm doing it, instead.

I wrote out a list of things that I love, tonight.  It was super long and somewhat interesting.  Apparently, I've surrounded myself with things that I love.  Writing the list was very therapeutic.  It put me in a super-duper awesome mood.

Little d told Big D to "Stop acting like such a hooker!" yesterday!  LOL! {Big d wouldn't let little d in her room.}  I love her!

Middle d surprises me with his intelligence everyday.  He really has a great teacher!...and might just have a teeny tiny little crush on her. ( ;  He certainly aims to please, that's for sure.  He's a totally different kid than he was last year.  He's very mannerly and obedient. I have always loved him, but now I like him.  Like, I like him a whole big bunch! Like, if mothers were allowed to choose favorites, he would be at the top of my list!

I'm at a happy place in my life, right now.  Life doesn't feel like a grey dreary dream anymore, so I'm pretty sure I'm completely over my spell of PPD.  Three and a half years later,  I'm finally back at/to my happy place!  Happiness has led me to dieting.  I currently weigh 129.4 pounds.  I only have nine point four pounds to go.  It's good stuff, I tell you!

Little d's constipation problem is slightly better.  Her pediatrician wants her to have a pediatric colonoscopy.  When she told me that, it freaked me out, quite a bit.  I haven't heard of a three year old ever having a colonoscopy.  That sounds a bit drastic.  But her condition is pretty serious.  She is currently taking six teaspoons of pediatric laxatives per day and it is barely making a difference.  Please keep her in your prayers.

That's it.

Happy Wednesday, to you!

Why can't we be friends?

I don't know.

I can't quite put my finger on it.

But, it seems like there's something that just keeps coming between us.

Why?  Oh, Why?

Why can't we just be friends?

0.o?!

A post Halloween-ie SOC

Just wanted to drop in a say a few things.

Pre-Halloween gatherings were awesome!  We, as a youth group, traveled to join a bunch of other youth groups for some good, old-fashioned, and somewhat akward fun!

Big D never got the hang of this game.  NO hands, Big D!! NO hands!

And believe it or not, these two big mouths couldn't fit a whole doughnut in their mouths!

Although, it sure was fun watching them try!

Middle d knew he didn't have a chance, but he would never, ever, ever pass up a doughnut!
...............................................................................................................................................

Halloween night was SUPER! {pun intended!}

I love things that match!...Including children.  ahem.

I'm pretty sure that MD is NOT going to be a "leg man"!  It's pretty obvious...I'm just sayin'

Oh!  I've been eye-ballin' this phone booth since we moved here two years ago!  I think of Super Man Every. Single. Time. I drive by it!  It just so happened that the folks that owned the phone booth were a "porch light house!"  They were super friendly people and let me come up on the porch and shove the girls out of the way and take MD's pic in front of it! ( :

Yep, he's awesome.

Happy November, Everyone!!!

Just life

Life is still going steady over our way.

Like usual, we've attented a soccer game or two...

and a soccer practice or two...

 Practice is obviously exhausting!

Steven had his first theatrical debut this week.  He did an awesome job!
Don't worry, he killed the crazy psychopath! (:

Ahem...Moving on...

We've had a few bumps in the road this week.

Little d has been constipated basically since she was born.  A couple of weeks ago she developed a nasty ole hemmorriod to go along with the constipation so her doctor decided it was time to see a specialist.  I am anxious to see what they have to say about her and her issue.  She drinks plenty of water, has basically no dairy, and eats lots of fiber filled foods.  She really has no reason at all to be like this.  The problem is continually getting worse.  So I'm excited about the appointment.  And that, my dear, is something I didn't think I'd ever get excited over!

I had to have a grown up ish talk with Big D earlier in the week.  It sucked.  We both hated it.  It took forever and she had a lot of questions.  {Why aren't they learning this junk from their peers?!}  I asked her what she knew about a period and she was all like "You mean like, punctuation?"  Yeah, so that sucked.

Parent teacher conferences were this week.  We were all nervous/cautious/optimistic about what Middle d's teacher would have to say about him.  Last year sucked, he hated his teacher, were pretty sure his teacher hated him...he fell way behind in class, and on and on and on...

We were relieved when Mrs. M told us told us that he was "very well behaved" and "always used his manners" and that "he was such a smart boy"...We knew he was all along, our confidence was just a little shaken from last year.  It feels good to be academically proud of our boy, again.  By the way, he has 50 AR points and all A's on his report card {even his behavior grade}!  Go Middle D!!!

Big D's doing pretty spiffy herself.  But that was to be expected.  She made all A's, too!

O.K. well, I've got some last minute Halloween related stuff to finish up [cuz It's 11:47 p.m. and that just so happens to be how I roll}, so I'm signing out!

Happy Mon...Er...Halloween, Everyone!!!

Wordless{ish} Wednesday: Stripy Sockies

Little d was kind-of-sort-of hatin' {like wishing she had some}on her pal E's shin shocks at her last practice...

but she wasn't the only one having trouble concentrating because of the awesomeness...

So, I feel a little better...a little.

I guess I'm gonna have to get her some "strwipy shin sockies", too!

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!

UP

Big D had a social studies test to study for.  She brought her book home and started to read out loud.  I listened to her read and I could tell that she just wasn't feeling it.  I had been in the house for what seemed like forever so we took a little walk up a mountain and studied on the top.

Along the way, we decided that we were in an episode of LOST.  Our plane crashed and their were no other survivors. We had no idea where we were and we were determined to find out.  Middle D carried the "torch" and little d carried the "fire"  {IDK?}.

We walked and walked for a long period of time and took many, many breaks along the way.  At one point we stopped at what little d declared was "New York City"!  I totally agreed with her....

I'm sure New York City looked like this like five or six hundred years ago.  ( :

After we all agreed with little d that it was indeed New York City, we decided to climb to the top of the "Empire State Building" for some quiet study time.  We all sat in a circle and listened to Big D read about the Appalachian Mountains {my home}.  After she read, I gave everyone a little pop quiz and they all did very well!  little d even mentioned that Uncle Joey had a "mable querey at his house"  {She loves her Uncle Joey!}

Little d led the way, all the way, very slowly back to the car.  ( :

It was so nice to have such an adventurous, peaceful, and believe it or not, quiet time with my D's.

Life is GOOD.  God is GOOD!

Happy Friday, Everyone!...and Praise the Lord!
