Disney World

Okay, since the thought of blogging about our trip to Disney World is kinda sorta waaay too over whelming to me right now, I've decided to give y'all the skinny!

We drove for a grand total of 20 hours to arrive at the most magical place on earth, Disney World.  Three kids and T.B. all cramped together in one back seat was a bit trying at times, but over all, we managed just fine.  Big D and Middle d had their Nintendo ds' to keep them highly entertained, and little d and T.B.  had a dvd player with several new Disney movies to watch to keep themselves entertained.  little d also did some reading when nothing else would calm T.B. down.  :0)

So, here we are, all five of us!  This was our first day at Disney World!

I seen a lot of these wonderful smiles, and characters too!

Disney didn't disappoint!  Even their "mouse keepers" were fabulous!  little d found T.B. reading a peter pan story when we arrived back to our hotel room one night.  She was all like, "T.B.!  What are you doin?!"  and "That's the sto-we I read to you!"  She was even more convinced that T.B. was real after this day!

I love parades! Who doesn't?!  I especially love parades that consist of Disney characters that vary in different shapes and sizes...and movies.
"Me, Woody!  Me!"  I'm wight here!"
These ugly stepsisters were the best!  While they weren't smiling their snotty grins and pretending to adore the crowds, they were busy bickering and trying to knock each other down.  They had Big D and myself just rolling in laughter!

Only at Disney do you get an electrical light parade at nearly midnight.  The Cheshire cat would disappear, leaving only his Cheshire moon grin, and poor Alice was clueless, and seemed to be lost!

Here's how we began our days.....all bright eyed and bushy tailed!

....and here's how they ended!

Middle d was lucky enough to celebrate his 7th birthday while we were at Disney!  This day will forever be sketched in my memory, because it was a beautiful day, and he reminds me at least twice a day!  I think every employee at Disney wished him a Happy Birthday.  In the picture below, we were sitting in animal kingdom watching one of the daily parades, and one of the "stilt guys" wished him a Happy Birthday.  The "stilt guy" asked him how old he was and md said "seven!".  The guy then turned to crowd and said "He's seventeen!  Everyone wish him a Happy Birthday!"... "Hey! Aren't you a bit short for seventeen?!"...This is the grin I got!  It's priceless!

I'll stop here for tonight and pick back up tomorrow.  Happy Wednesday, Everyone!!!

April Fools

Tonight, I made a special dinner for the kiddos.

Cup cakes were the main course.....

and we had fried sunny side up eggs for dessert!  Yum!

I also gave them very special "juice" tonight.

They had a little trouble getting it out of their sippy cups!....cuz it was jello!

Big D had a little trouble eating the "cup cakes".  I guess meat loaf and purple mashed potatoes aren't on her list of favorites!  Everyone enjoyed their "fried eggs"!  Vanilla yogurt and peaches are always a hit at our house!  And who doesn't love slurping jello through a straw?!

No, I didn't think of this on my own.  I got it from another blog I follow and if I knew how to insert a link to it, it would, but I don't.....so oh well.

I can't wait till next year!  I have soooo many neat ideas!.....!!!!!!!!!! (just a few more exclamation points, just in case you didn't notice how excited I was about this meal!)

Happy April Fools, Everyone!!!!!!

ps:  I don't have any pics of the kiddos enjoying this delicious meal because my flippin battery died right before I served them! : (

Wordless Wednesday: "I'm not a pwincess!!! I'm a Dwagon!!!"

little d quickly put Princess Ariel in her place when she made the mistake of addressing little d as "Princess".  I'm sure Ariel won't forget my blond headed beautiful princess dragon!

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!!!

Nailzz

Since going to Disney World is a rare once in a life time treat for our family, I decided to elaborate a little bit and take Big D and myself to get our nails did.

I went with a normal plain ole boring french manicure while Big D chose a happier more Florida-ee color...

Nope, not the one she's holding in the picture.  Look closer...See that extremely bright neon orange?!  Yup that's what she chose.  Very appropriate if you ask me.  I'm kind of sad I didn't choose it now.

It's always nice to squeeze some one on one time with my big baby girl.  She's getting so big so fast!  It's hard to keep up.  I was looking through some pictures I took the other day saw a child I didn't recognize.  After examining the photo a little more, I was shocked to realize that it was Big D!  It scared me!  Even though it was only a split second that I didn't recognize her, it was there!  It happened!  When did she get so tall?!  When did her face change?  Was it overnight!?  It sure does feel like it.

(I'm putting her on "My list of things to do".  I'm going to spend more time with her.  I'm not saying I don't spend enough time with any of my kiddos.  But with the two bigger ones being in school for eight hours a day and then soccer practice for an hour and a half two days a week...I'm really missing out.  I have to come up with a plan to spend more time with my babies before their not babies anymore.)

Anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed our selves yesterday.  Much needed, that's for sure!

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!!!

Three years of bliss

little d,

Every day with you is a blessing.  Being able to stay at home with you is a blessing.

I love the way you come straight to me when you wake up in the morning.

I love the way your hair refuses to curl.

I love how you talk like you're a grown up.

I love how you say "ting-a-jiggy" when you don't know what to call something.

I love how you argue with people when they comment on you being "two" and you always correct them by saying "NO! I'm two and a half!

I love how the half always matters.

I love how you say that your birthday is "Mar-sh da twevv".

I love how you insist on Big D taking you to the bathroom.

I love your innocent soul.

I love that "Ti-nana" is your favorite princess.

I love how you still call your feet your "footies", and refer to your toes as "toey's", and your socks as "sockies".

I love how you insist on your soccer coach calling you "love buggie" instead of Diamond.

I love your admiration for "Mountain Dew" (said perfectly).  I love how you will do anything for a drink of mommie's Mountain Dew....anything!

I love how your neither Mommy's girl or Daddy's girl.  You favor us both the same.

I love how you ask me to read to you and you bring me at least 10 books...I love how we have to finish them all.

I love how you spelled the first four letters of your name today while I was writing it on your birthday cake.

I love how you play with princesses but insist on watching How to train your dragon, Toy Story, or Mega Mind.

I love how you look up to your big brother and think that for the most part, he's the coolest person you know.

I love the way you argue with your big sister as if you were same age and height as she is.

I love your big blue eyes.

I love how you look just like your Daddy.  I think little girls who favor their Daddy are extremely lucky.

I love the fact that you are mine, that you belong to me.  I am so blessed!

Thank you, my precious baby girl!  Thank you for three years of pure bliss!

I love you!

I.  LOVE.  YOU.  (Period)....everything about YOU.  : )

Sometimes

Sometimes, I regret becoming a parent.  The moment of regret only lasts about a second, a minute, a couple of minutes.  But sometimes, I really do.

Sometimes, I look at those little faces and am completely overwhelmed.  Sometimes, I just wanna run.  Sometimes, I just want to hang my head and tell everyone that they were right.  I had no business becoming a mother at the ripe ole' age of 19.  19!  What was I thinking?!  I'll tell you what I was thinking.  I was thinking just like any other 18 (at the time) year old.   I could take on the world!  I was free!  There was nothing I couldn't conquer!...Maybe I wasn't completely wrong, but me?!  A MOTHER?!  Seriously?!

My child hood sucked!...I won't go into a lot of detail, but it did.  I was raised by more than a handful of people and families.  My mother was a Jehovah's Witness.  My real father wasn't around.  My Step father was Catholic.  My Aunt was Baptist....Sometimes Holiness.  My Grandmother...believed in God.  None of the people I ever lived with attended worship on a regular basis.  We would go to Mass on Saturday, The Kingdom Hall on Sunday and the Baptist church on Wednesday's.  Sometimes we wouldn't go anywhere for a long time.  You wanna talk about a confused child....

Moving on.

I found out I was pregnant with my oldest daughter the fall after I graduated high school.  I was 18 and far from being married.  Can you imagine the slack I got for that?!  I also got lots of lectures.  Lots of  "Babies require round the clock care." and  "You have no idea how much goes into taking care of a baby." ....I got all of this scary "advice".  Me being me, I took it all with a grain of salt.  I was excited I was going to be a mother.  I was going to give my baby security.  I was going to love my baby like no one had ever loved me.  My baby was going to know she was wanted, and I knew that I was going to be the best mom ever.  And for the most part, that was and still is true.

As an eighteen year old, I was naive to the fact that my precious pink little bundle of joy would eventually grow into a child.  A currently almost nine year old child that watches my every move.  A nine year old child that has questions about cooking, cleaning, and recently, her SOUL!

Proverbs 22:
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Um.  Wait a minute.   I don't recall anyone ever saying "Kimberly, do you realize that you are responsible for making sure your child makes it to heaven?!"  I often wonder what I would've said if someone had actually said that to me.  I wonder if I would have tried to be a good godly mother if someone had said something like to me.  No one did, though.  Everyone just tried to scare the wits out of me by telling me how "awful" having a baby was.   What is wrong with the world?!

......

Three.  Steven and I have three little souls (besides our own) that we are primarily responsible for.  Not just lives, but souls.

Sometimes (only for a second)  that overwhelms me to the point of running far, far away.  It literally scares the daylights out of me.  Three.  Not just one, but three.  Not just my own.  Not a stranger on the street.  My KIDS.  The very fibers of my being.  I don't know about any one else but that is a very overwhelming thought that I have only recently been  putting serious thought into.

Encouraging thoughts and advice are always welcome : )

Happy FAT Tuesday, Everyone!!!
